A
few years ago, as his son was preparing to go to college, H. Jackson Brown
decided to put to paper the things his son, Adam, most needed to know as he
prepared for life in the "grownup world." His notes were
eventually published under the title "Life's Little Instruction
Book."
I don't know if H. Jackson got his idea from Solomon, but the
book of Proverbs was basically written with the same idea in mind. The
wisest man this world has ever known—King Solomon—put the wisdom he
had accumulated over the years on paper (well, parchment, actually) and
presented the collection to his son.
Proverbs is an instruction book
for life. It's a manual for getting it together and keeping it together.
It deals with every facet of experience—relationships, money, career,
ambition—you name it. In this ten week series, we take a look at a
number of these topics, and explore the wisdom God has given us in the
original "Life's Little Instruction Book."
This series
includes graphics and power point.
