We believe you'll find About Sunday to be a useful site for the following reasons.

1. Sermons you can adapt and make your own. These are well-written, theologically solid messages -- practical, Biblical, and uplifting. The sermons are expository and they're easy to customize and adapt. You don't have to wade through hundreds of sermons to find something you can use. If you like our free material, you'll like the content of About Sunday. We have one writer, Steve May, so if his style resonates with yours, you'll find our content usable.

2. Illustrations that you can use. We have thousands of illustrations covering approximately 200 topics, such as grace, character, family, happiness, forgiveness, procrastination -- just about any topic you'll ever address. Each topic page contains several key quotes, a few stories, and links to additional devotionals and sermons that fit this subject. That means that everything we have on Grace, for example, is found on one page -- sermons, quotes, and illustrations. This makes doing your research easy.

3. A website format you can figure out. About Sunday is designed so that any page you're looking for is never more than two clicks away (and usually one). It's an easy site to navigate. All of our content is sorted by bible text and topic. If you're preaching on forgiveness, everything we have on the subject is summarized on a single page. If you're preaching from Philippians 3, all the sermons and illustrations are also indexed according to books of the Bible. We make it easy to find what you're looking for.

4. No advertisements. There are no slow-loading animated graphics screaming at you while you're trying to do research. In fact, no ads at all. The only thing you see on a page is the content you signed up to read.

5. One sermon, one page. Some sites split a single sermon or article into several pages. This helps them make more money from ads, but it's inconvenient for you. At About Sunday, each sermon is on one page. This makes it a lot easier for you to skim the content quickly and find exactly what you're looking for.

6. Lectionary resources. For each Sunday we have at least one sermon -- and usually 2 or 3 -- that follow the revised common lectionary readings.

7. Sermon series. We have more than 50 sermon series available, and Steve is always working on a new one. Some cover topics like leadership or relationships or work, etc. Others cover books of the Bible, like Romans, 1 John, or Hebrews. Most series contain 4-6 messages. (Some series, by necessity, are longer.)

8. Exclusive content. You can find some of Steve's older messages in other websites, but About Sunday has hundreds of new messages by Steve; these are available nowhere else.

9. Power Point presentations and graphics. Hundreds of our sermons have fully developed power point presentations and series graphics that you can use.
